Thank you for remembering those who served with the 203. My dad served nearly 5 years in WWII. I was born 4 months before his National Guard Unit was activated at Camp Hulen, TX. I only saw him 3 times during those years. He had a life long lung disability from serving in Alaska. It was not a picnic for the men who served there. For families whose loved one served in Alaska, I would recommend reading the "Thousand Mile War" written by Brian Garfield and "The Battle of Attu and the Aleutian Island "Campaigns" by "US Army Command an General Staff College".
